Andrzej Sapkowski is a Polish fantasy author best known for his book series The Witcher. Formerly an economist, Sapkowski’s short story The Witcher was first published in Fantastyka, Poland’s leading fantasy and science fiction magazine and was loved by both critics and readers alike. The short story catapulted him into fame and he went on to create five novels and several short stories based on the world of The Witcher. Sapkowski’s books have been translated into over 20 languages and The Witcher has been adapted into a role-playing video game and a Netflix series.
