Leigh Bardugo
Leigh Bardugo is an American young adult and fantasy author, best known for her Grishaverse novels, particularly the Six of Crows duology and the Shadow and Bone trilogy, which have sold over three million copies. Born in Jerusalem, Israel, Bardugo was raised by her grandparents in Los Angeles. She graduated from Yale University with a degree in English in 1997. Before publishing her first novel, she worked in copywriting and journalism, as well as makeup and special effects. Bardugo has also written essays and short stories in anthology collections. Her other works include Wonder Woman: Warbringer and Ninth House (Goodreads Choice Winner for Best Fantasy 2019) which is being developed for television by Amazon Studios. In January 2019, Netflix ordered an eight-episode series based on her Shadow and Bone and Six of Crows book series. Leigh currently lives and writes in Los Angeles.
