Federal support for Morristown National Historic Park and the inclusion of additional lands present a unique opportunity for our government to express its commitment to preserving our past. Failing to do so may allow these historically important lands to go unprotected.

My appropriations requests have always sought to benefit New Jersey. That is how I base my submissions to the committee for consideration.

The House has repeatedly had overwhelming votes in support of continuing the Yucca Mountain repository.

We as taxpayers have put in well over $12 to $15 billion of investment in a repository for high-level nuclear waste... if we're ever to recoup that investment in the future... then we're going to need some money to reopen Yucca Mountain.

I don't want the United States to be Athens on the Potomac.
