James S A Corey
James S. A. Corey is the joint pen name used by Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck, authors of the New York Times best-selling science-fiction space opera series The Expanse. The first and last name is taken from Abraham's and Franck's middle names, respectively, and S. A. are the initials of Abraham's daughter. The first novel in the series, The Leviathan Wakes (2011), was nominated for the 2012 Hugo Award for Best Novel. George R.R. Martin praised The Expanse, declaring it "Interplanetary adventure the way it ought to be written."
